Larry Rothstein
President, Managing Partner
Larry’s passion, energy and commitment to excellence have been the heartbeat of Source for over 25 years. And anyone who knows him knows his heart works a mile a minute. To Larry, nothing is more important—not even a Mets game—than exceeding client expectations and producing sales. Larry’s spirited, hands-on approach crosses departmental cubicles and inspires a talented staff—including some Yankees fans. Shh.
Barry Bluestein
COO, Managing Partner
Barry has over 30 years of experience in the media and advertising industries. His forte is marketing and account management, though he likes to believe he stimulates the creative process. His unique understanding of channel and trade promotional marketing has allowed Source to carve out a niche with brands seeking an agency that will provide integrated marketing capabilities synergistic with their brand personality. When asked what that actually means, he simply says, “I make clients happy.”
Dennis Koye
Executive Creative Director, Partner
A humble man who doesn’t like to drop client names such as Exxon, Citibank, AT&T, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Coke Foods, Lone Star Beer and Weight Watchers, Dennis’ creative philosophy is simple: It’s not about winning awards (though he’s won his share), it’s about results. You won’t ever see him without his Moleskine notebook and a pen because, “You never know when inspiration is going to hit or when your wife is going to call with the grocery list.”
Marcia Wasser
Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer
Marcia first joined Source as a freelance consultant on a new business pitch. Well, we won that account, and she’s been with us ever since. Marcia brings 25 years of experience with companies including Young & Rubicam and S & H Citadel, a BA from Brown and an MBA from Columbia. She provides marketing and branding leadership to our clients while spearheading our new business initiatives. Yes, Superwoman is real, and her name is Marcia.
Rich Degni
Vice President, Creative Director
Rich has spent his career creating campaigns with record-breaking results for clients including HBO, Sony, AT&T, Guinness and Everlast—picking up a few Communication Arts, Art Director’s Club, ANDY, ADDY, AWNY and New York Festival awards along the way. A firm believer in leading his creative team at Source by example, he is also an adjunct professor at the School of Visual Arts, where he guides young creative minds in the right direction. All aboard.
Janine Perkal
Vice President, Account Director
Janine is our West Coast management representative and Account Director on the Hewlett-Packard business. Prior to joining Source, she spent 16 years at major ad agencies including McCann-Erickson, Doyle Dane Bernbach and J. Walter Thompson, then made the switch to the client side for DIRECTV, The Walt Disney Company and NBC television network. Now back on the agency side, Janine’s unique mastery of client services is well-appreciated by both.
Erica Hayman
Vice President, Account Director
Prior to moving here from Missouri, Erica had never even visited NYC. Her no-fear attitude served her well at agencies including Y&R, Deutsch and D’Arcy, where she worked on the Burger King account. It’s this expertise that brought Erica to Source, where she leads our New York tri-state area, Philadelphia and Columbus SUBWAY® franchise group businesses. “It’s all about client service and building customer loyalty,” says Erica. And her SUBWAY® clients, with increased year-over-year sales, are just eating up the results.
Amy Ehrlich
Vice President, Account Director
As a 15-time Super Bowl attendee and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst’s renowned Sports Marketing Program, it’s no wonder that Amy lives, eats, and breathes sports. Previously managing the Marketing Services Department at PSP, the largest producer of gameday programs, Amy brings over 20 years of experience in sports marketing to Source where she manages the accounts for Amtrak, Wise, the Super Bowl Host Committee and Buffalo Wild Wings. Can anyone guess who won this year’s Super Bowl Pool? Let’s face it, Amy’s in it to win it.
Sharon Fried
Vice President, Director of Operations and Finance
Sharon is often in the office before 7—because managing our payroll, billing, accounting, human resources, insurance policies, equipment, leases and all other agency operations are only the beginning of the responsibilities she handles on a daily basis. Her exceptional management skills, innate number-crunching aptitude and one-of-a-kind resourcefulness have shepherded our agency through many layers of our dynamic growth.
Source Team
-
Kate Gall, Sr. Account Executive
Kate’s early training on the SUBWAY® restaurants account came as a die-hard fan of the quick service restaurant. As a Blue Hen at the University of Delaware, her favorite SUBWAY® restaurant was on Main Street in Newark, DE. Post-college, she applied her marketing degree to a few industries–but destiny led her back to her favorite sandwich shop. In 2006 she came to Source, where she puts her firsthand experience to great use on the SUBWAY® business.
-
Tom Teska, Creative Supervisor
Tom is adopted, loves cartoons and the movie Meatballs, and collects grammar books including Woe is I and Eats, Shoots and Leaves. In fact, one of his pet peeves is when people say “You’re killing me” and “I’m starving.” Tom can also juggle—beanbags, tennis balls, fire torches, chainsaws—and sometimes even workloads.
-
Monica Rosenberg, Copy Chief
Proofreader extraordinaire and published children’s book writer, Monica is an avid gardener and serves on the board of several non-profit organizations. She loves helping others “smell the roses.”
-
Lauren Rubinsky, Account Supervisor
Lauren can swim the length of a lap pool without coming up for air. But when she does come up for a breath, she can’t help randomly quoting lines from The Goonies and Indiana Jones movies. She admits to being petrified of spiders. (Not very Indy-like.)
-
Mitchell Wexler, Management Supervisor
Mitch has been known to wear the same outfits, eat the same foods and sit in the same spot for Giants playoff games just to keep the good luck going. Mitch also loves playing golf and even claims that watching professional golf is enjoyable. When he’s not watching sports, Mitch can be found eating, talking about or dreaming about food. (Not while working, of course.)
-
Jaclyn Gaines, Project Manager
Voted funniest in her High School class, Jackie used humor to get her through the pain of competitive running. Captain of her Division 1 Cross Country team at Loyola College in Maryland, she earned a BA in Communications with a concentration in Journalism. Jackie’s creative talents led her to narrate two Books on Tape for Random House and perform improv comedy before landing at Source, where she fits right in given her love of food, film and travel.
-
Jason Bacharach, Management Supervisor
It’s a long story, but yes, Jason is a distant relative of Burt Bacharach. He beat Nate “Tiny” Archibald in a one-on-one game when he was 11 years old, witnessed Reggie Jackson’s three home runs at the ’77 World Series and traded stories with Alan Shepard (one of the original Mercury astronauts). And, oh yeah, he makes a mean tomato soup.
-
Armando Angeles, Art Director
Anyone who’s ever seen Armando’s work knows he’s detail oriented. The same goes for his personal life. Armando moved from Peru to The States one day before his 21st birthday; has names picked out for his future children; and enjoys watching and re-watching movies to pick up on every nuance. Making sure he knows his craft as well, Armando studied journalism and communications for 4 years in Peru before receiving his BFA from Kean University.
-
Craig Franklin, Creative Supervisor
Over the past decade Craig has served as both an advertising professor at City University of New York, and an on-stage rocker at CBGB’s, New York. He’s certainly an influence on his students, we’re just not entirely sure what kind.
-
Maya Steeves, Account Supervisor
Born in Florida, Maya was a debutante (fun, but not exactly her style), and in 2000 moved to New York. She paints her face for Gator games, brushes her teeth in the shower and has a not-so-secret crush on Kirk Herbstreit. Sorry, Mom.
-
Nanci Muriello, Sr. Account Supervisor
Nanci is a fitness fanatic. A certified instructor of yoga, Pilates, spinning and general group fitness, she loves to teach and share the benefits of exercise with people of all ages. But that doesn’t mean she’s all workout and no play. She loves to travel and enjoys live music, and attended all three Woodstock concerts—the original in the womb!
-
Sid Horn, Broadcast Producer
Sid is a lifelong Yankee fan and can be found cheering after every big win. Since Sid doesn’t like to brag about most other things, many people don’t know that he’s won a bunch of industry awards. He has a Clio, Mobius, Addy, IFT Gold Medal and FCS Portfolio Award all tucked away somewhere.
-
Matthew Valentine, Account Executive
Matt is an avid Giants, Devils and Yankees fan. He also loves film and literature, especially the Twilight Saga. But Matt also has old school taste, and still hangs on to his Pog collection, which he swears will make a comeback any day now. He even has a Beanie Baby collection that he hopes to sell for millions so he can live out the rest of his days in the lap of luxury.
-
Terry Garcia, Creative Supervisor
Terry fell off a horse when she was 5 and broke her arm, but that didn’t stop her from becoming a championship rider. She continued her adventurous ways and during a sailing lesson managed to steer the boat into a white squall. Terry has even had a song written about her that ended up on an album. Which one? We’re not sure. Maybe it was The Perfect Storm soundtrack.
-
Debra Flynn, Account Executive
Debra’s a throwback. If it’s movie night at the Flynn house, she’s probably watching Adventures in Babysitting—her favorite movie. And in her car, she’s most likely rockin’ to the oldies. In 2009, Debra won a championship ring with the Sky Blue FC women’s professional soccer team. She’s also training for her first marathon—she’ll be running to the oldies, of course.
-
Shari Goetz, Art Buyer
Shari is an animal and a people lover, which is good because she’s the mother of teenage triplet boys and has a rambunctious bearded collie named Pepper. She is also a Reiki Master energy healer and a student of yoga and all things metaphysical. This is especially helpful when negotiating stock photos—and raising three sons.
-
Drew Inganamort, Account Executive
Drew loves sports and is the commissioner of his fantasy football and baseball leagues. He has vacationed in Alaska, visiting Glacier Bay, and hopes to travel the rest of the country critiquing teriyaki chicken wings.
-
Greg Ajamian, Studio Manager
Greg likes to take people’s money—in Texas Hold ‘Em that is. He fares much better at the poker table than he does in the office Mega-Millions pool. Greg once won $2,650 in a game of Hold ‘Em with an ace-high. Talk about beating the odds!
-
Jeff Virden, Asst. Account Executive
Jeff is a native Californian. Born in Los Angeles, he attended Sonoma State University just outside San Francisco, where he was selected first team All-American defenseman in lacrosse. Today, Jeff plays on the Men’s Club lacrosse team, winners of the 2010 California State Championship. Jeff lives up to his California roots and spends his free time at the beach, even though it’s a little tough to trap and scoop in the sand.
-
Justin Askew, Production Manager
Justin is one of five brothers, each with a name that starts with the letter J. He also has an English bulldog—but decided to ditch the “J” and named him Tank. Justin has his own ritual every Halloween, when he dresses Tank as a different horror movie character including Count Tankula and Tankenstein.
-
William Zamlong, Sr. Art Director
William loves to live on the edge. He once ate pepperoni in a Third World country and survived. In New Zealand, he bungee jumped over a river from 440 feet above and lived through that as well. William has actually been living on the edge since he was young—he’s been wearing glasses since he was 5. His mom told him they looked cool.
-
Tim Wilson, Account Supervisor
Tim lives in San Diego, played baseball in college, surfs on weekends and once rode a snowmobile 112 mph in Yellowstone National Park. Tim met his wife on a blind date and now they have two daughters. As the sole man in the house he finds beer intriguing, loves outdoor activities and, of course, knows all three High School Musical movies by heart.
-
Karyn Schachman, Media Buyer
Karyn, a jock since age 6, didn’t let knee surgery stop her from pitching and ruling right field on the softball diamond. The New Jersey native is truly in her element when cheering for her favorite team, the Yankees, but admits to watching A League of Their Own on-repeat to cope with the offseason.
-
Joe Cipriani, Project Coordinator
After graduating with a Marketing/Management degree from Siena College in 2006, Joe’s devotion to film and fiction led him to LA to pursue a screenwriting career. But finding success in the movie biz was not enough to keep Joe on the west coast, and his love for his hometown Yankees and Giants brought him back east. He believes his life story was the basis for three box-office hits and one miss—Good Will Hunting, Step Brothers, Water for Elephants and Joe Dirt.
-
Linda Frankel, Media Director
Married and the mother of three college-age children, Linda is a whiz at text messaging and BBM, can G-chat like no other, is a Facebook fanatic and even uses skype. It’s also no coincidence that Linda’s favorite class at Columbia Business School was The Art of Negotiation. I’m sure it comes in handy when developing media plans and buys for her clients.
-
Nicole Hunt, Assistant Account Executive
Nicole could dance before she could walk. She boogied her way into Rider University, where as a senior, she was president of the dance team. At home, she spends hours on imdb.com—so just try to stump her in a game of Scene It? Nicole cries when listening to The Beatles, laughs when people fall down and though a twinkle toes on the dance floor, claims to be a hazard on the highway. Maybe Nicole should try “the locomotion.”
-
Laura Ackerman, Assistant Account Executive
Measuring in at 5-foot-nothing didn’t stop Laura from being voted her high school’s Female Student Athlete of the Year and captaining three different sports. When Laura’s not handling accounts at Source she’s doing one of her favorite things—watching movies, going to dinner or watching sports, most likely the Michigan Wolverines (Laura’s alma mater) or the New York Knicks.
-
Mark Reiter, VP Management Supervisor
When the Mega Millions jackpot is over 1 mil, it’s American Idol voting season or Academy Award-nominating time, Mark sounds the office-pool whistle. Outside the office, Mark participates in team sports including tennis and bowling tournaments, is an avid Mets fan and has achieved the Competent Communicator and Leadership designations from Toastmasters International.
-
Tony Maffei, Broadcast Supervisor
Tony enjoys landscaping, keeping his lawn looking great and doing just about anything with his two daughters. Tony is a big sports fan, and at the age of 4 could already name the Mets starting lineup. He also is known to yell and lose his voice at Giants games and driving on the roads of New Jersey.
-
Janelle Washington, Receptionist
Janelle loves all animals. When she was younger, Janelle scared off her nanny by bringing home a skunk wrapped in a blanket. Needless to say, they didn’t keep the skunk. Although no one got sprayed, the blanket didn’t survive.
-
Don Russell, Creative Supervisor
Don’s childhood role model was Han Solo. And even though you can always find him with the latest technology, he’s ditched light sabers for golf clubs. Don loves almost any sport. Some people are born into royalty, but Don was born into a family of Yankee fans. Close enough.
-
Tiffany Migneco, Art Director
In high school, Tiffany was prom queen. She enjoys running and hates ketchup. (It’s actually more of a ketchup phobia.) Tiffany is part Native American—but not enough to qualify for a college tuition discount. Bummer. Her great uncle did invent Colgate toothpaste though. We hope she at least gets a discount on that.
-
Rob Jacques, Sr. Copywriter
Rob is a native of San Diego. He once restored a 1981 Bally’s Fathom pinball machine, which he and his two children enjoy to this day. Rob’s been to one Super Bowl, one MLB All-Star game and one Chargers vs. Packers game at Lambeau Field. He also likes golf, even though he tried out for his high school team and didn’t make it. Some guy named Phil Mickelson made it instead.
-
Carolina Vega, Art Director
Carolina is an animal lover, but more specifically, a dog lover—which is why she couldn’t help but teach her 2 cats to play fetch. She’s also a self-proclaimed food critic and has visited more than 80% of the Mexican restaurants in NYC, searching for that authentic “home” flavor she misses. In her free time, she loves to shop for vintage clothing.
